Children's Ministry

Children are the future of our church!

Our mission in children’s ministry is not only to provide our children the opportunity to learn about God and worship Him, but to help them develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and learn how to be a faithful follower. We provide an environment that is both safe and fun for our 1st through 5th graders. We believe children are not just the future of our church but an integral part of our church today. We do our best to equip them with the knowledge and understanding that they will need as young Christians in today’s world.

Sunday's

Sunday School: 9:45 a.m. on Sunday

Sunday School Classes begin at 9:45 and are organized by your child’s grade in school.

Children’s Church: 11:00 a.m. on Sunday

Children’s Church is a worship alternative for children 1st thru 5th grade.   All children meet in the sanctuary when the 11:00 worship hour begins. After the weekly children’s feature, the children have the option of being dismissed to children’s church following our Director of Children’s Ministries. We praise the Lord through music, through skits, through our puppet team, and through studying God’s word. We take up offering and conduct the hour like any other church service, we just present it on a level in which it is easier for children to participate. We do not hold children’s church on the last Sunday of the month to provide an opportunity for our families to worship together. We may also cancel for special services such as the Lord’s Supper or holidays.

Wednesday's

Graded Choirs: 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday

Children 1st-5th grade have the opportunity to participate in our music department through graded choirs.

RA’s/GA’s: 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday

Our young men have the opportunity to participate in our Royal Ambassadors program on Wednesday evenings while our young ladies participate in Girls in Action.  Both groups have a focus on missions and learn about missionaries all over the world.  They are also taught how to be a missionary in your own community.  These groups participate in various mission projects throughout the year such as collecting food and socks for the needy, taking food to our local fire department, and working on campus beautification projects just to name a few.

Kids for Christ: 6:45-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday

Kids For Christ is a Bible study program offered on Sunday evenings and features a more relaxed atmosphere. KFC also provides a time where we can have discussions and activities about content taught in Sunday School and Children’s Church.

Special Events

Easter Egg Hunt

FBC hosts an annual Easter Eggstravaganza the Saturday before Easter with games, music, food, and a huge Easter egg hunt for all children 5th grade and younger.

Children's Camp

Each July our children who have just completed the 3rd-5th grade have the opportunity to attend children’s camp with our children’s ministry leaders. This is an overnight camp full of devotion time, recreation, group worship, and relationship building that our children look forward to every year.

Back to School Bash

Each August as we prepare to begin a new school year FBC hosts a Back to School Bash. This is typically an outdoor event with food, games, and inflatables. This is also the kickoff for our Wednesday night activities and a time for parents to register their child for each class.

Shoe Box Packing Party

Each fall, our children and student ministries participate in a shoe box packing party. This is the culmination of our Operation Christmas Child mission project to collect items to send to children overseas.
